Pillow Pouches

Several months ago a customer brought some embroidered blocks for me to make into throw pillow covers. I’ve made quilts for her before with her blocks, this time she wanted pillow covers.

She brought 12 in all, six of two different designs. I finally started on them last week.

I have one completely done.

She chose fabric that fits the embroidery to frame the fronts, and for the backs.

I have the other five blocks of this design quilted and ready to finish.

I used muslin for the backing, and high-loft poly batting for the fronts. For the backs I used a 80/20 cotton/poly, just to give a little poof to it. I don’t like just fabric, I like to have filler. I think that makes a much nicer looking cover.
