Summer Night Soiree
I finished piecing a quilt top for a customer.
Summer Night Soiree is a free pattern from Henry Glass Fabrics, the designer is Salt Meadow Studios for Henry Glass. I sewed the sample for the Creamery. I switched some of the fabrics around, I didn’t like where some of the fabrics were placed…so I did it my way! (I don’t remember the last time I followed a pattern to the letter–and that includes MY patterns).
I picked up the backing fabric today when I worked. I’ll seam that and take it all in when I work tomorrow to have it quilted.
I used the Studio 180 Wing Clipper for making the Flying Geese for the Stars.
With some planning I was able to get all the mushrooms upright in the stars.
It is now the day after I started this, and the top and backing are in line for quilting, so hopefully I can get it finished soon and on its way to its new home.
Today was almost like spring and a lot of the snow disappeared. This time next week it might be up to 60 F. I hope so, this is way too early for winter to start.
Take care,
Thanks!
Wow, beautiful!!
