A new pattern in the works
I’ve been playing around with this design for at least 5 years (the poor thing is getting gray hair waiting to be finished). I’ve submitted it to several fabric manufacturers in the past, but until now, no one has wanted it.
I dug out the fabric I had set aside for it, it’s an Island Batik line from a few years back, some, if not all, of it is Flea Market. I LOVE the colors.
Once again, a gazillion HSTs. Ok, only 42. A few V-Blocks, setting and corner triangles, no borders.
I’ve made several already. One version I really like, I can’t include in the pattern, I just don’t know how to clearly write in the instruction to make it that way. I can do it, and it turns out like I want, but I don’t know how to put it on paper.
I can use Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 V-Block® and Tucker Trimmer®, but I can’t use the Square2®, the finished size of the block doesn’t fit the ruler. If I had sized the pattern to fit the Square2® ruler, it would have made the rest of the blocks weird sizes to cut. There is a Square2® that has the correct measurements, but I have the other one. Maybe that should be my next Studio 180 purchase!!
Enough for now, back to work!
