Just a Sunday afternoon
I did something today that I haven’t done in a long time.
Years ago I belonged to a Mission Circle group. Among other things, we made rosaries, some to donate, some to sell. One of the kinds of rosaries we made were Irish rosaries. It has a ring to move from finger to finger through the decades, a crucifix, an Our Father bead and 10 Hail Mary beads. Here is a description of it.
A cousin died recently and his wife asked me if I could make one to be buried with him, she can’t find the one I gave him years ago. I said sure, I can do that.
I have some wire and the pliers, bought the beads and crucifix. I thought I just pick up the pliers and go to it. I ended up looking up instructions on how to do it. The first one took me a whole Hallmark movie, the second less than half a movie. Once I got the hang of it, it all came back to me.
They’re not as good as I used to make, I definitely could use some practice!
